York University's MSc in International Humanitarian Affairs (MIHA)

The University of York in the UK, runs an online MSc in International Humanitarian Affairs. The course is designed for humanitarian practitioners and operates very flexibly. The programme is now accepting applications for September 2016.

The current students are based all over the world and work in some of the most challenging disasters and crises, from Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Liberia, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Yemen and Syria to the Nepal earthquake and cyclone Pam.

Students work mostly for the UN, Foreign Affairs and INGOs. As part of the programme the students get access to other students, networks, the University of York online library and Associates and their networks that also offer guest webinars and where appropriate dissertation supervision.
