UN-Habitat is working to advocate for urban resilience at the global level and provide the knowledge, tools and solutions to make cities safer and move towards sustainable urban development.
Through its work on resilience, UN-Habitat has an extensive network of partner organizations, institutions, think-tanks, universities and governments. By hosting the Urban Resilience Hub, UN-Habitat is providing a space for knowledge, best practice and innovation to flourish.
Tools and Guidance: Showcase the latest resources for cities to work on resilience
Knowledge: Tracking the trends in urban resilience by gathering the latest research and practice
Advocacy: Providing a space to raise awareness and information point for local governments, the media, donors, civil society and all local actors and groups
Partnerships: Global commitment to urban resilience has grown substantially over the past decade and new communities of practice have been created. The Hub provides a space for those communities lead or supported by UN-Habitat.
The Urban Resilience Hub is part of UN-Habitat’s Urban Resilience Programme’s contribution to the Making Cities Sustainable and Resilience campaign, supported by the European Commission and implemented in collaboration with UNISDR.
